About

Natalie Williams is a Naarm-based writer whose work gently explores the in-between spaces of life, where loss, memory, and identity meet in quiet, intimate moments.

They’ve been recognised as a 2024 Writers Victoria Storming The City Fellow and have been a featured artist at the Emerging Writers Festival. They’ve also participated in Express Media’s Fiction and Digital Storytelling streams, and in 2025, they joined a Pen Pals cultural exchange program between the Melbourne and Dublin UNESCO Cities of Literature.

Natalie’s writing is shaped by a commitment to authenticity and connection. They are currently writing their first novel, All That Remains. Set in England and centred on 24-year-old Harriet Jones, the novel explores the delicate intersections of private familial loss, the personal memory loss of Harriet’s mother, and the complexities of fame and the public eye.

Professionally, Natalie has worked at several of the city’s most beloved arts organisations, including Arts Centre Melbourne, Melbourne Theatre Company, and The Wheeler Centre.

They have spent the last few years consulting on artist opportunities and sector inclusion for the disabled community as a part of Arts Access Victoria’s Youth Advisory Committee and as a workshop facilitator in Writers Victoria's Writeability program.

Throughout her creative career, Natalie’s sole goal has been to uplift the voices of marginalised communities, support the future of the arts and pay it forward to those interested in becoming a part of Australia’s creative landscape.
